Jesus Christ is the very representation and likeness of God. He was sent to show us the beauty and majesty of the King. He did not make His debut on that morning in Bethlehem because He existed before creation “in the beginning.” In fact, it was “through Him” that “all things were made.” (John 1:3) Even when we look back to the book of Genesis, we read that God said, “Let us make man in our image” (Genesis 1:26) referencing the presence of Christ.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God …. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us …. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.”
